CHICAGO (STMW) — Three men are dead and at least 16 other people were wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday afternoon.
Most recently, a 24-year-old man was found shot to death on a sidewalk in the 4300 block of West Cullerton Street about 7:30 a.m., police said. His identity was not released Sunday afternoon pending family notification, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Earlier in the weekend, a 26-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
Deangelo Shelton was standing in the vestibule of an apartment with a 25-year-old man in the 300 block of North Central Avenue about 1:25 a.m. when an unknown suspect entered with several other people and opened fire on the two men before running away, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.
