Man Bound, Pistol Whipped During Home Invasion Robbery In Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are investigating a violent home invasion robbery that left a man bound and pistol-whipped.

It happened just before midnight on Tuesday along the 2100 block of South 65th Street in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police say two masked men broke into the home, tied up the 63-year-old homeowner, duct-taped his mouth and then struck him in the head with a gun.

The suspects ransacked the man’s home and then fled with $700 in cash.

Police are still searching for both men.

The homeowner was taken to the hospital in stable condition with injuries to his head.
