BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins have their first meeting with the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night, but luckily have a few days off before to ease some bumps and bruises.
The Bruins’ blue-line continues to be banged up, with Adam McQuaid and Torey Krug both listed as “day-to-day” after getting banged up in Saturday’s win over Columbus.
Boston has had to overcome some injuries to their defense in the last few weeks, but haven’t really missed a beat thanks to a glut of defensemen in the system. Kevan Miller, who filled in nicely last week when McQuaid and Dennis Seidenberg were sidelined, was recalled again on Tuesday on an emergency basis.
Defenseman Johnny Boychuk joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich on Wednesday, and said he and his fellow defensemen feel confident in their group no matter who is out there.
