Woman Sues Dating Site Claiming She Hurt Her Wrist Creating Fake Profiles of Sexy Ladies


Ever logged on to a dating site and wondered if some of those profiles from young blondes with screennames like SexyChick420 were actually fake? If you’re a member of Ashley Madison, the infamous social network for men and women searching for extramarital affairs, most of them probably are–at least according to one former employee.

Toronto-based Doriana Silva is suing Ashley Madison for injuries incurred on the job, claiming that while she worked there she developed problems with her wrist after being forced to type up 1,000 “fake female profiles” meant to lure men to the Brazilian version of the site. Silva’s requests for a wrist rest were ignored, and she experienced pain so severe that she hasn’t been able to work since 2011. She’s requesting $20 million in damages and helping to confirm all your worst fears: you’re probably getting catfished.
