Christie Downplays Position As ‘Big Shot’ Republican

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is flying high after coasting to re-election. He discussed a variety of subjects as he made the talk show rounds Sunday morning.

Christie dodged several questions about a possible run for president, saying the future will take care of itself, and that right now he’s focused on New Jersey.

“Looking to finish the job we started in the first four years,” he said.

When it comes to President Obama’s embattled Affordable Care Act, On CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Christie says there are several reasons why he didn’t implement the state-based health care exchange program:

“Anyone who’s managed or run anything over the course of their careers could see that this was a train wreck.”

He says nationally, Republicans need to reach out more and show up in urban areas if they want to win big elections:
